Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the CVHEC AI Initiative Hub ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

About the Site

The Site is operated by the Central Valley Higher Education Consortium (CVHEC) AI Taskforce. It curates resources, case studies, and ethics guidance related to artificial intelligence in higher education.

Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Site.
  • Do not submit unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or misleading content.
  • Do not use the Site to harass other users or contributors.
  • Respect intellectual property rights of linked third-party resources.

User-submitted content

Taskforce members and approved contributors may submit resources and case studies. By submitting content, you grant CVHEC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish, edit, and distribute that content on the Site. You confirm you have the right to share the content and any links it contains.

Third-party content and links

The Site links to third-party resources (Google Drive documents, external websites, vendor tools). CVHEC does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, privacy practices, or availability.

Advertising

The Site participates in Google AdSense and may display third-party advertisements. Ads are clearly labeled "Advertisement." CVHEC does not endorse advertised products or services. See our Privacy Policy for details on advertising cookies and personalization.

Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. CVHEC does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that listed resources will fit any particular institutional context. Resources are curated in good faith but require local review before adoption.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CVHEC and the AI Taskforce shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or any linked third-party content.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
